Having a Style Council Day

5th May 2016

Today (Thursday) was a very warm and pleasant day in God's own country and as such I took the time to drive out over to Derbyshire and enjoy some time at Monsal Dale and of course I was tempted to have a beer at the pub. I took a few snaps to show the view down the valley to the river and foot bridge to which is such a pleasant view from the top of the hill and ridge. I hope you enjoy the changes of the light as the sun passed over.

Having a Paul Weller Night

30th April 2016

It's been about as weird a day as one can expect today, we were told yesterday how the weather was going to start and warm up today for a slightly better weekend but hey ho, it snowed, hailed, it rained and for a brief moment, the sun poked it's head out as if to mock us all from behind a cloud.

My local football team Sheffield Wednesday made a good day today by beating Cardiff to a 3-0 win, it feels especialy good as I have a major distaste for the City of Cardiff.

It's 7.15pm and I have juust ordered a take away meal in which to enjoy with a beer while Ant & Dec comes on at 8.00. Its been quite a day for Motor Sport today as the Russian GP was having it's qualifying session and for those who have to watch it on the highlights session later, I would say what the result is.

It's the long weekend for us in the UK as we have a bank holiday on Monday, we celebrate May day for some reason although I have no idea why, there is probably some super reason for the banks closing on Monday but for now the reason escapes me.

Anyway, my beer is getting warm and my music is on loud and Im enjoying a bit of style council while I wait for my ruby murry to arrive. TTFN and see you later.

Hillsborough Enquiry & Outcome.

26th April 2016

Today is a day of both joy and sadness as after 25 years, finally the truth has come out in regards to the events at Sheffield Wednesday Football Stadium which sadly was a tragic day for all who were affected, as was myself. It happened on 15th April 1989 and 96 people lost their lives at an event which should have been such a happy day for all. The irony to it all was the fact that throughout the 25 years, the families and victims have never gave up hope of justice being done for their loss and for all of that time, the authorities have lied and corrupted the system throughout, we all susspect that this was in order to cover up and protect the powers above.

Today was a great day for the families and friends who supported the fight to gain justice for the lives of those 96 people to whom the Police in South Yorkshire suggested were drunk, repubates and trouble and towhich we the public knew from day one was just an out right lie. The Police should be ashamed of their actions and we all pray that the ones who created the smoke and mirror elusion of memory loss, stress and any other excuse not to be held responsible will be held accountable for their part in the deceipt. My thoughts are with those brave families who never lost hope of getting the truth out in the open.

God bless all of these brave people who changed the course of history and stood fast until the truth was out. My feeling is that this will not be the last we hear of the corruption of the Police in South Yorkshire or even the rest of the UK Police force to which people today have no faith or trust of the establishment in any way.

I wish to pay tribute to a member of my own family to whom passed away on the 16th April 1989 in Sheffield and was badly affected by the events at Hillsborough as a direct consequence to the disaster. My family member passed away and due to all of the morgues and hospital beds being taken up, we were left wit a body in a house with now where to send them. RIP EH.

When the news broke about the Hillsborough tragedy and the decission by the Jury to find the 96 deaths as "Unlawfully Killed", I was on the front line with the troups supporting out Junior Doctors at my local hospital. The day was very cold and as confirmed by my Facebook account and videos, it was actually snowing for nos of the day and the northerly winds were bitterly cold, but Im pleased to say that we ass stood together and fully united. The public support the Doctors at this stage but it is fair to say that the UK does need a 7 day a week service and the public voted for this in it's election and support of the Conservative manafesto. Perhaps it's time to invest more money into more staff than exploiting the limited resources and staff we presently have. The troups are back in the trenches today and I wish them well.

24th April 2016.

I want to share what may turn out to be an old fashioned remedy or miracle cure with you all. I have to stress at this point that I have no medical background, no supporting evidence and no suggestion that this may work. A Week Of Loss & Sadness

21st April 2016

Its been a week full of events and reflections with both high's and low's and it started with a low for me as a shock story broke regarding the sad loss of a true comedy professional sadly passed away and for me, far to early. Victoria Wood was a truly wonderful and humerous person who saw through comedy and brought it back to earth with a bang. Her lasting memory is something that we should not weep at but smile and praise the quality of the person, the charecters and writing that she delivered with such style.

Whilst I write these few words in memory of such an inspiring artist, I heard in the background the equally sad news that a music genius has also passed away and the colour purple will be forever be associated with Prince and I think it is better to let the music inspire your memory rather than my feeble worlds.

Finally for today, I would like to send my very best wishes to our gracious Queen on her 90th Birthday and the whole country has engaged in the celebrations and across the country a flame of fire has been lit in beacons to celebrate the moment and memory.

There is one thing that the Brits can't be beaten on and thats our monarchy, pomp and ceremony. If there is one thing we do super good it's royalty and the whole world was watching how it should be done. One the Queens official birthday later on in the year, Im sure that all of the armed forces will put on a quality display as always.

Sunday 24th April 2016

Sunday was a day of calm, Sheffield Wednesday managed a draw and are pretty certain to be in the play off's and my City of Sheffield is crammed full of snooker supporters all seeking the price of fame and autographs. The weather was at least calm and dry although it has turned cold but whilst it threatened to ruin the London Marathon, it in fact stayed dry and with a blue sky and cool breez, it was probably the perfect conditions in some ways. It's Monday tomorrow and the drama of the week starts all over again. Im just glad I work for myself not not emplyed by others as I would probably get the sack on some Mondays.

Paul Weller - Broken Stones

20th April 2016

I started out today tired and went through the normal routine of crawling out of bed, preparing myself to greet the world but when I drew back the curtains I was in for such a surprise, there was a huge yellow ball in the sky like yesterday and it was so hot. "Has sumer finally arrive.........I fear not !!. The weather forcast for the weekend is a swift return to winter with the air blowing down from the artic circle but we must remain positive for now as the weather is truly like a hot summer day in the UK and even if it is just a short period of joy, it brings a blessing of normality and pleasure to so many and provides a platform of positivity to look forward with an air of optimism that we may get more warm das that cold for a while. In light of this I want to share a little bit of positivity with you and provide you with a gift of pleasure from my collection of music heros to open your mind and place a picture of how todays focus should be greated.

The European Debate.

18th April 2016

I would like to express my personal opinion and feeling toward the European debate and as to what I will ultimately be voting for and why. I would stress that these are my own views and were influenced only by my own thoughts and understanding. It was not written as  a cause to offend or persuade anyone else to agree with my mind set but I would say that I do have much more to say but have decided to hold my thoughts for another day.

The Style Council - Shout To The Top

Its another week and as we start out our journey on a bright monday moring of the 11th April 2016, my weekend of music and fun has gone and I have to pay tribute to Leicester football club for what is probably the last but one mileston in the 2016 journey of pure belief, followed closely behind by my very local golfer who took the green jack in the masters over the weekend and is from my adopted city of Sheffield. Danny Willet took the world by storm and showed that Yorkshire is truly the home of feet on the ground and why it's known as Gods own county. Check out the story of Danny Willet here

I  have a busy week ahead of me me as my goos friend and associate in Turkey is about to appear with some goodies for the warehouse in Holmefirth and we are presently making space for many articles to fill the place.

Turning back to sport for a moment, I would like to draw to your attention the amateur football supporter who frequents our hall of shame so often, known as the Wealdstone Raider he is a nasty piece of work with little to offer but a big mouth but a true bight of missery to all he meets. I would suggest that this type of vermin should be removed from all arena's and venue and punished by the system in some morral way for his pathetic action and abuse on others. Check him out here

Wednesday 13th April 2016

Its been quite a slow slow, quick quick slow type of week so far, with Polictics being the main focus in the media and much gossip and contraversy surrounding the age old topic of offshore accounts and tax. I will remain neutral on this one as this is a subject for the rich and not so much the poor. I notice that the USA program of confusion and election that is forced upon us so much by the media has gone a little quiet since Mr Trump made such an error of judgement and hurled insults toward women and with that in mind, I will offer my little tribute to the USA Presidential Election with a few pictures collected this week from loyal friends and followers.

Our old favourit is always Mrs Palin who almost enjoys courting the contraversy and as such I feel she may be quite pleased at the picture below.

Im assuming this is a picture created via photoshop editing but in some ways I would like to think in my heart that it was real, but sadly that is just one dream too many.

I was gifted with a picture that made me smile when I saw it that made me realise how fortunate we are in the western world that we do have rules and regulations in regards to work conditions etc. I can't say Im a big fan of rules and prefer that common sense prevail first but the problem with common sense is that it is not that common today. However, I susspect the guy below would have supported some kind of intervention in regards to transportation, weight and load carrying.

I do want toremind you all that it is this month when we experience a strange image of the moon when for about 90 mins it will actually appear green and is worth taking a few moments to experience. I don't wish to give you the date as I may have the wrong day myself but for safety sake, I would suggest you look it up on the internet to enjoy this weird moment of light trickery.

It's Friday and I don't know where this week has gone, it's simply flown by and I have little to show for the week except I'm weirdly tired and have nothing positive to show for the effort, I have collected some pictures from a dear friend of mine who is presently in Vietnam enjoying the lifestyle and bar knowing him. Im sure he has parked his buttocks on a beach on a few occasions too.

Here is a sign found in the local market where my dear friend was shopping and I found it amusing. Below is an eating establishment of which may r may not be your choice of food provider, depending upon personal taste and preference I suppose. My feeling is that the Fish Curry is to be avoided.

It always makes me smile how the Asian local tries to accomodate into their signs and litrature some English words to try and attract the attention of the Western tourist but miss the target by a mile due to the obvious lack of attention to the detail, belowis a few examples of which once again my friend has taken whilst he was on tour this week from Vietnam.

The most amusing sign that I saw from my friends collection was the one that I left untill the last and whilst I would have thought it obvious, perhaps it may not be that obvious to all.

15th April 2016.

To all who live in either Sheffield or Liverpool, today is a very significant day as it was 25 years ago to this day that the tragic incodent took place at the Sheffield Wednesday Stadium which resulted in the loss of 95 lives at an event to which should have been full of joy. I remember this day as if it were yesterday and I remember seeing a sea of Nottingham Forrest supporters and in the distance a sea of Liverpool FC supporters, the whole of Sheffield turned red with loyal and dedicated football fans. For me, my memories were to become worse still on the 16th as it was the day I lost a member of my family and it was made worse by being told there was no where totake them as the cities morgues were overflowing because of the tragic events of the day before. RIP EH.

I heard today of the sad news of a series of 6.6 & 7.5 magnitude earthquakes to hit Japan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan right now and we hope that you are all ok and well.
My weekend will be mostly early morning or late nights this weekend as my time is ocupied by watching the F1 Motor Racing from China.

Laughter on a train

I wanted to start this week on a positive, so I provided this video of which is available on Youtube in order show that a positive attitude and open outlook to life is always a great platform to view the world in a comedial way, this vidoe shows that we can all laugh at nothing and that laugher is so infectious and as laughter is good forus all, then its such a great medicine.
I started my week on a negative as I have come to the conclusion that my past has to change and my future is all new and the people who treated me so badly for so long need to get away from my line of vision and if they believe that this is the way to treat people, then my suggestion is go out into the world and find someone who likes being treated that way. "It's not for me". The week has gone quite slowly so far but when you are waiting for something, it does go slowly for some weird reason. However, this week has brought the UK some weird weather to cope with, we had Summer at the weekend, spring on Monday and today (Wednesday) we have had snow showers and heavy rain, so who knows if winter has gone yet.
