An Autumn Drive To The Office

17th October 2016

My Daily Diary By Peter Hulbert:

My day was not going to be anything special when I first woke up but as soon as I looked out of the window it was all about to change. The sight of a big orange ball in the sky was enough to suggest some fresh air was on the cards and a brisk walk in the cool breez and autumunal weather with all those wonderful smells of rotting leaves and fungus was all I needed to get wrapped up and set off out of the door.

My normal rout "all beit a short one" is to head to the top of the hill and then drop down to the edge of the park, following the edge of the brook or stream untill I reach the lake where to my surprise on such a cold day, there was a lady throwing a stick into the lake for her dog (golden retreiver) who would bravely leap into the water for a swim and fetch the stick. I can confirm his bravery was well founded because the water must have been very cold today.

On my way through the park, I encountered a few dog walkers as normal, many wild birds on the search for berries and other foods but most of all the wonders of peace and quiet which is the one thing that certainly clears your mind first thing in a morning.

The day itself was a naturally bright and sunny day with huge white fluffy clouds but as the sun is now low over the horizon, it is much colder and the temprature always reminds me that summer was a long time ago and the steam coming out of my nose shows just how cold the day was but the freshness of the air is a pure delight and is something you can't ever put a  price on.

I often take a walk allong the edge of the brook and listen to my music in my headphones privately as it would be unfair to others to break the silence for them if it is only I who is in the mood for music and today my chosen songs was as follows:

It has lasting memories for me and reminds me of my days in Nevada and living the freedom of choice life. My memories of driving up to Lake Taho and the wonderful skiing resort was some of my more memorable moments with Bill, Luci and my dear friends. I still say today that I wished I had stayed in the USA and brought my daughter to live with me instead of me returning to the UK to live near her.

The rest of my day was taken up by a drive over the top to Holmfirth and the office where we started out on a typical Monday morning with the moving of things that were taken up by orderes etc and the making of room for new products and goods. The best part of that section of my day was that wonderful drive over the hills where the views are something of a spectacle to see. I often stop and capture the moment by taking a breath of the fresh air and even the occasional photograph of the wonderful view.

Please feel free to join into our Twitter feed and followers, our offer is a simple one. You follow us and we follow you back. We also have a Facebook site where you are once again welcome to follow and the rules are exactly the same.

I hope you enjoyed my few words of today and whilst Im no professional, I did enjoy sharing my day with you all as the life and daily diary of Peter Hulbert.

In The Face Of Adversity, We Find Out Who Our True Friends Are.

9th October 2016

I have fed mouths that have talked shit about me.

I’ve wiped tears off the faces of people who caused mine.

I have picked up people that have tried to knock me down.

I’ve done favours for people that do nothing for me.

I have been there for people that have not been there for me, Crazy Maybe…..But I will not lose myself in the hatred of others.
I continue to be me because, I am who I am and it is my nature. Life isn’t easy but even through all the Bullshit….. I will still be here, being me. I will not change to suit their Ego or self esteme, for I am better than they are for being me.

What they once had, they have now lost, what they may be rewarded by has been removed and what future they though they had destroyed as I will endevour to come back in some form or another and bite them back from who knows where.

Today, I am left with my faith and confidence in myself that I always set out to do the right thing for all and that even a broken castle can be repaired with new tools, new materials and totally new team in the knowing the mistakes of the past will not be repeated as we have the benefit & wisdom of the knowledge gained.

I will leave you with the words to which I always gain such strength of charecter from:

The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have
Was yours.
The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Was yours and yours and yours.
A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause.
For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.

The Long & Lonely Weekend.

03/10/2016

It's been the best and the worst this weekend,

For the best part I was alone and for the worst part, I was alone with just my compardrey, Mr Van Morrison and his new album "Let It Ryme" and whilst being alone is not a pleasant feeling, being alone with Van Morrison is not a bad place to be. It was a hell of a weekend, just Peter Hulbert & Van Morrison accompanied with his band. At this stage I would notmally put some tracks on from youtube but you know what, you can go and find them yourself because I bought the album and if you appreciate music, then you will appreciate and value the time searching for the album.

I have a busy week ahead with visitors coming in from all over the area, thankfully not all on the same day and same locations but never the less, it will keep me thinking ahead and positive through the week and now that I have the new Van Morrison album, it's a pleasure to take to the car and enjoy the moment in the mood to sing alone and enjoy the change in scenery. For those who wonder where Im going, keep wondering as it's none of your business.

I enjoyed the weekend of activity in Malaysia and who is going to win I hear you ask.......and who gives a damn I hear you say. Well, I care and my money is on a German whose parents are from Finland..!!

The Paris Motor Show got off to a good start I hear and many new products on offer with much emphasis on the enviroment and comfort which are important points in 2016, Land Rover offer the "All New Land Rover Discovery" and MG announce they are shifting production to China, perhaps there is some logic but who knows..

The funny thing about being alone is it removes all of the BS from my head and allows my thoughts to flow and provides an access to my memories which refelcts much of whats going on in my life today. I have many good friends who are truly the best of the best and some people who tell me they are the best and want me to agree but sadly there is a reason they want me to agree, it's because they know that they are the two faces back stabbber from Hell and they realise that I know it.

As I write these few short lines I am starting to release some of the tension beating inside my head and as I have my headphones on to the sound of my music and latest purchase from Mr Morrison I have decided to relent a little and let you enjoy some of the 3 hours of pure quality from the master of balad music and movie song tracks and wish you all as much enjoyment from this album as I got.

Enjoy & God Bless All Music Fans..!!

My Day On The River Fishing For Trout By Peter Hulbert.

26th September 2016

It has been quite an eventful month with the quickly approaching winter led in by autumn which has already arrived and whilst we have had an extended summer in the way of an Indian summer, the nights have quickly started to draw in and the temperatures are dropping rapidly in the early evening.

Sunday the 25th gave us a mild rise in temperature and is always a sign that the trout in the local river will feed so the urge to go fly fishing was too strong to turn down. I left my home at around 08.30am and arrived on the river at about 9.00am and was set up and casting my first fly. As it was early, I tried dried fly for a few hours until the sun was over head, but with very little success and quickly changed over to a sinking wet fly of which gave me instant success and a 3lb rainbow trout, a little too large to take home for lunch and as such, went on his merry way.

After this beauty went safely back to the river, he must have warned his friends as it all went very quiet and as such I moved up stream to another pool where once again after a lengthy period of finding the feeding depth and point of which the trout were laying out in order to ambush and potential food source. In the end and after about an hour, I started to get some bites and the end result was two plate sized 1lb rainbow trout for dinner.

I’m looking forward to my dinner today, these two beauties are fresh out of the river and are so tasty when they are wild trout and cooked to perfection, this brings to an end my day on the river which was so peaceful and quiet and ended with such a good result. It was a nice change from taking pictures and gave me something new to focus upon.

The Skyline In August By Peter Hulbert

All taken at the High Point at Thurlstone South Yorkshire

It all started of so calm at about 8.00pm on a August evening, but as expected, the sky would soon start to share it colours in such splendour with an array of splendid colour.

Below you will notice a flock of geese just taking off for their evening roost although I confess I do not know where that is.

Every sheep in the field ran away to the top of the hill for some reason, I hate the thought that it was me that frightened them but it probably was.

The sun is now starting to go down and the light reflecting on the clouds starts to glow red.

A very long and quiet road to the wint turbines, but the view from the top is stunning and worthy of the trip out.

As I approached my final destination, I was fortunate to capture a flock of geese just taking off for who knows where.

A slightly better view of the geese as they pass by to gain some kind of momentum and height to fly over the woods in the distance.

The light is slowly starting to fail and the night or early evening dusk is starting to take over, with any lucj we should get an orange or red sky shortly.

Above, you can see just how low the sun is at this moment but behind it shows that the moon is already up and reflecting the colour of the sun

The turbines look a little lost tonight against the bright setting sun shine.

Trying to capture the bright sun in itself is a task. However, for all the glory you get a payback by the appearance of dark wind turbines in the silhouette.

The sun sinking low whilst the moon appears on the horrizon gives some terrific colour in which to work with tonight.

If you look really closely, you will see in the centre a plane climbing up toward who knows where.

The sky is really begining to take affect now with the colours of the reflecting sun playing some wonderful tricks on the skyline.

Even the sheep are begining to change colour for what is a very brief moment of trickery caused by the sunsetting over the horizon.
