Alive & Kicking In 2019

15th January 2019

Welcome back after the Christmas silence and the festivities which included the "New Year" and all that went with it and lest say Goodbye to 2018 and Hello to 2019 and a bright and positive future for all.........I say all, but I mean all except 4 in my world and those 4 will be dealt with shortly and swiftly along the pathway of 2019.

So my subject today is in regards to BREXIT and as I write this post, I hear that the Government just lost the vote from the MP'S by 230 votes and that is a huge loss to Theresa May and her lies......er, Deal..!! Europe just confirmed they refuse to re-open the negotiation program and in theory, we have a "No Deal" situation which is what the nation voted for. However, I truly expect Theresa May to follow her normal pathway of lies and stop BREXIT and whilst I have no crystal ball, I expect her delay or halt to BREXIT to lead to huge trouble in the UK although I hope and pray that any protests are peaceful. For now, I am celebrating the result as I did back in 2016 when the people voted to leave the EU but sadly we are still here and still wasting both time and money on nonsense instead of leading the nation forward to a positive future under our own management and control of our own destiny. So what next I ask myself, how disrespectful can parliament be to keep denying the will of the people when we have spent masses of money on a dream for Theresa May's Ego.

 So, for the UK and it's strange weather, we are still about 7-8% above what we should expect at this time of year but change is around the corner and snow may not be far away and in Europe, the snow has been severe and cost lives which is so tragic. The USA is about to get a heavy snow storm and we are informed that it could arrive at our door step at any time and whilst I always enjoy the time when snow is here, I am always aware of the dangers that it brings with it and caution is the order of the day, especially on the roads and footpath.

So the fighting and biting has started for the BREXIT supporters as team "Remain" who deny the democratic right of the people to be acknowledged and respected. Instead, they want a re-run of the election process as a second one (if they win) would be a final result but they fail to say what they would do if they lost. One assumes they would ask for the best of five, or even just stop democracy and bring in the "North Korean" style of elections.

The one this that we can all say for sure about the whole process of BREXIT is that our own as well as overseas politicians have shown just how deceitful and corrupt they all are and with little signs showing that any have morals past their own selfish ego's. I have always said that my version of democracy is not about who wins but who accepts the result at the end, no matter what the outcome and to watch the Labour Party who's leader has voted against every EU recommendation for over 40 years and fight hard to leave, now supporting a remain side is staggering but on the other foot you have Theresa May who voted to remain and surrounded herself with a remain cabinet to claim she will lead the leave the EU government, makes the whole thing madness. I am 101% convinced that I have landed on planet loony and am surrounded by people smoking drugs. The third part (Liberals) simply want to open our doors, feed the world and embrace the EU by flying a white flag over Buckingham Palace and to that end, I will never work out who the allies are and who the real enemy is. UKIP have slipped back so far that they can't even be seen through a strong telescope, despite them being the party of leave and have now opened the door to a person (Tommy Robinson) whom I support but not as a political figure as he is on his own mission and my honest view is whilst I agree with his comments, he will divide UKIP into a "Far Right" and Racist Party and to that end I cannot support such a thing.

I don't have a great deal to say today regarding BREXIT or anything else in reality as the Vote in the House of Commons was won but only just won by the Government and the attempt to stop BREXIT was not complete and as the Commons vote kind of put a stop to it, the relief was all their for all to see. The main focus for me was so many of our Political Class's have shown their total disregard to the will of the people who actually pay both their wages and their expenses. However, Im in a positive mood today and being on the bounce back all helps and as such I want to leave the last word on BREXIT and Theresa May to this young lady who sums it all up so well on video. 

Who Would Have Guessed.....!!

Well here we are in what England would politely describe as an unbearable heatwave that simply appears to never end and if this is global warming, "bring it on" as there are no complaints from me. However, we are not here to chat about the weather bu really to bring you up with the life and times of "Peter Hulbert" and his madness and crazy world, that just recently has been a little quiet.........or has it ?. Hmm...!!! So, what subject should we cover today that is important enough to cause interest to so many........."Of Course"......FOOTBALL & The World Cup and more importantly, England who are through to the semi finals with a game against Croatia booked for Wednesday and who would have ever guessed that 6 months ago. Ok, I have learned from past experience that if I support England or shout it out loud, they will fail and as such, my lips remain tightly shut but what I want to say is the following but to which I will not breath a word but simply allow someone else to say on my behalf.

Ok, so here we are some 3 days after the world cup final and the sad news for all England fans was that we eventually caved in at the semi finals and lost to Croatia who deservedly won the game after extra time and with less that 10 minuets to the end of the game and for those who don't already know it, they were beaten in the final by France who were from the outset one of the favorites to win and on the day, they performed in a class above the others and deserved there moment of glory. 

I would like to point out at this point that the so called union of the United Kingdom was certainly marred by the Scottish Unionist Party trying as they always do to gain public support for the hatred of the English and not support them in the world cup but instead making it public that the Scottish people should turn there backs on England and support Sweden in the tournament. At this point I will draw attention to the fact that the Scots failed to even qualify to make the world cup competition and despite the support from Scotland for the Swedes, England made us proud and we beat Sweden 2-0 in the quarter final. I would also say that when England that when England failed to make the tournament finals some years ago along with Scotland & Wales, we all threw are weight and support behind Ireland as our nearest partners and close friends but never behave as the Scottish do and reject our closest ally and friend.

England has reached it's summer time now and unlike most summers, the heat and sun has been exceptional this year, to the point where there is talk of a water shortage in some areas and whilst it has not reached the point of bath with a friend to save on the water, we have reached a point where much of the west coast has now gone into a hose pipe ban and the rest of the country is on warning to reduce waste as the reserves is getting rather low. We did once suffer this back in 1976 and as such it is quite a rarity and as always with the English, we just soak it up and get on with it. On the plus side, the garden is in full bloom and looking quite special which is something not to be snubbed at. My Daughter has now settled into her new home and is now starting driving lessons as this may serve her better in later life if planning children etc. This makes myself (Peter Hulbert) sound really old but it turns out that all of my school friends are already grandparents and I am the last to be considered for the job.  

There is much anger within the UK right now due to the friction created by the Prime Minister who refuses to acknowledge "BREXIT" as the will of the people but instead keeps fighting her advisers and cabinet Ministers with daily undermining of anything they formulate in respect of trying to create what is commonly known as a deal on Brexit to which she (Theresa May) will accept, except that the will of the people was to leave the EU without any deal. We never asked for a deal, simply voted to leave and the massive cost of remaining is creating much friction by the vote leave public. The most concerning thing and the issue which causes most alarm is the fact that she refuses to acknowledge democracy and simply single mindlessly demands that her will be obeyed but I am happy to say that the Tories are already recognising her arrogance as well as the future of politics and with a fair wind, she may be gone shortly and replaced by someone who leads.

So here we are in the last week of July and it's turmoil from every angle in the UK political arena and whilst I would like to think that Governments for the most part are honest, I suspect you will find it very difficult to find anyone in the UK to underline that comment today and that is quite sad. To bring you up to spec with the madness of the UK weather, back in March I was posting pictures of the extreme snow and extended winter but here we are some 4 months on from that and in the hottest summer since 1976 with a severe draught and many rivers run dry. It's difficult to accept that this is officially what they call global warming as I know from the history books that we have had lengthy periods of warming up and cooling down and during the invasion of the Roman era in the British Isles, the Romans actually grew grapes and produced wine on the borders of Scotland some 2,000 years ago and as such, it must have been very warm at that time to achieve that and I am aware that the furthest North that I am aware of where wine is produced is at Holmfirth some 10 miles north of me, but still a good 80 miles south of the Scottish border.

I can't help thinking to myself some days that we clearly live in a strange world surrounded by strange people with strange habits & attitudes but when I saw the car to the left driving through the streets of Scotland, I bowed my head to someone who must have pissed of so many people in his or her life that when that faitful day came that we will all face at some point in our life, the person or people to whom they had pissed off, decided for whatever reason not to let it end there but to carry on the madness to the funeral and who knows, even beyond the grave. It made me smile but also left that empty thought that I would love to know the story behind the action of the mourner who clearly must have bought and paid for the flowers with such hate or revenge in their meaning to annoy to the very end the person who is now evidently dead but who's memory or actions was still well and truly alive in the deepest part of someones mind and thoughts. The conclusion to which I finally accepted in my mind was that if nothing else, they were honest in there display of emotion and not as many if not most of us would have done which is to stand around talking small talk about what a wonderful and lovely person they were and how much they will be missed by so many. This person made it abundantly clear that they would not miss them and the only feeling that was left behind was a bad one to which for whatever reason, they were not prepared to call it a day and let sleeping dogs rest no matter what and to than end and by no means as a sign of approval, I at least bow to your courage and conviction and ability to stand by your true feeling and principals despite the moment.   

5th August 2018

So, we finally reached the 8th Month of 2018 and August is always such a challenging month in the UK as many people are away on holiday and the children are on there 6 weeks summer break as well as our Parliament who appear to take an over extended break for reasons best known to them only. I guess somewhere along that way, the Tax Payer will be paying them for that privileged process somehow. I am a great believer in the process of Democracy but it sometimes has it's way of being manipulated for the wrong reasons and presently, out Government, or should I say leader of the Government is doing exactly that, which smacks in the face of the very people who voted them into the ivory tower to where they now preside. However, be aware of the old saying "Easy come, easy go" and I suspect the go is not too far away. I hasten to say that our great leaders were never known for anything more than high morals and standards to which respect to others who put them in their place was paramount and I feel confident in saying that they would not tolerate the goings on in the Houses of Parliament right now in there day.

Whilst I write this weeks update on my blog page, I can't help but ponder a thought for those who are away on holiday enjoying the wonderful weather in the UK and in Europe even hotter figures that are causing great concern for the medical people who are waiting for a possible world record temperature to hit Spain & Portugal on Wednesday which could see 49 or even 50% on the mainland which I am assured is truly hot. The last recorded highest reached was 47% and it looks very likely to top that this week. What I would say is if you are out in the sun be it UK or overseas, just remember how quickly it catches us and the affects of the sun are too bad to imagine and as such, take great care. Also, beware who might appear in your selfies whilst away, sometimes we capture the moment without realising who or what was in the background and for that reason, please share your moments with the rest of us like this kind lady did above. I'm sure that someone will recognise the gentleman in the background and make him famous one day for his moment of pride on the beach.   
 

The First Day Of The Rest Of My LIfe

1st January 2018

Welcome back to the start of a whole new year of what I truly hope is a good one for everyone and that 2017 is gone but not forgotten for any of us as despite everything, we survived in whatever form that took. I like to look back at life as a learning curve and as we progress forward, we look back as an education to build upon. Some parts were good and some were bad, some were happy and some were sad but our regrets are few and we are blessed in as much as we survived which many did not.

Many people appear to only judge others by money, wealth and what they are worth but I have learned in life that money comes and goes and wealth is easily removed but real value is in who we are and what we know and I learned to only ever value people and not money. Good people and more valuable than hard cash and through trauma and personal experience in life, I learned that good people are worth everything and bad people are worth nothing in our daily lives. I value my friends as they truly are the very best a person could ever wish for which is more than I can say for my family on occasions. Today is the 1st of the 1st and a day to rejoice and celebrate but I pray that this is the last one I see in this condition, I spend my whole Christmas as well as new year alone and locked in my room as I was simply not welcome around the ones who should know better. However, it's onward and upward as I advance into the new year with a shadow of hope in the background and a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel that promises to bring along change and real prospect of a future outside of this circle of misery. I used to think I was all alone in my cocoon of doom and gloom but when I see the internet and so many people sharing stories of upset and depression, it makes me realise I am certainly not alone but far from it, I realise that the so called "Good Will To All" time of year is far from it and in reality, it's probably the cause of more divorce, family breakdowns or upset to so many. It's sad but so true. Ah well, so long 2017 and welcome to 2018 and a whole new chapter in the story of Peter Hulbert and what got him to this stage of his life and why. This year is a bounce back year and the plan is that certain heads will roll for what has happened and the truth will out in the end and whilst the pathway was a long and uncharted course, there was reason for everything and everything has a reason and timing is everything sometimes and my time is here and now. I have no plans to write a book or even make an issue of things but I do believe in justice and truth and both will appear this year and afterwards I can move on with my life to a new home, new wife and direction, most of which from overseas and far away. I hope on occasions you will touch base with my blog and fill in the gaps I left as I progress along through 2018 and as the time becomes right to share the valued points, I will be happy to do so. For now, wish me luck and I thank you all for your support.

Well, what a week. We are into the first week of January and whilst it is winter, the rain and wind have been a major problem in the UK and as we hear the news on the TV, our thoughts are with our friends and families in the USA who are truly having some really bad snow and ice that has not been seen like this for many years. Our hearts go out to our greatest of friends the USA who always roll up their sleeves and just make it work, unlike many other nations around the world whom always shout "Money" for some reason. Tomorrow is Friday for me and I'm looking forward to meeting with "B" who as everybody knows, is always my priority when the opportunity arises and as we didn't see each other over Christmas, I have to take whatever is on offer for now. No doubt we will go for dinner somewhere as usual and I look forward to it so much.
As this week has as one might expect been a very quiet one and people on extended leave and slow returning to work, there is not much to say, except that my associates overseas have been very busy over the holiday period and I am excited about what news will hopefully come very soon. I will of course share this news with you all as and when I get updates and posted myself. Just keep the faith and we should all see a turn in direction and fortune very soon.

To the right is a large Scorpion made of steel and displayed outside of Forgemasters in my City. It is quite symbolic in some ways as I always say that a scorpion has a sting in the tail and whilst you may be watching the claws at the front, the sting is far worse that the bite should we say and my action plan for 2018 would describe that as par for course in the scheme of things. There certainly are a few names and old contacts to whom I expect to be seeing all too soon in which they may feel slightly surprised if not very uncomfortable about the reasons we all meet up again in such a circumstance. This will put the nails in the coffin that I require to fulfill my obligation to myself in order to continue onward with my life and plans to which include my planned wedding to which we are still waiting to confirm the dates but expect to once again share that with you all very soon.

16th January 2018

Today was a day of contemplation and thought and if you never step back and take some silent thought, I would suggest that it's time that you did. It is a great way of clearing the mind of confusion and replacing it with some logic without influence. Try it, you may well enjoy the moment.

There is something quite satisfying about this quite somber picture to the left and I will share this thought with you all to take with you throughout your life. "It does not matter how big your house is, or how fast your car goes because at the very end, we all have the same sized grave" and whilst I don't wish to encourage doom and gloom, I do hope you reflect on this simple message of life as everything that we have is not forever and that includes our life.

My world became very cold this week and snow, wind and driving rain followed by ice and more snow has made this part of the world very interesting at best and scary at worst for the drivers who always enjoy going just that bit quicker to the next accident. We were stricken by a major storm over the last 2 days with worse to come tomorrow through to the early hours of Thursday and cold is a word to describe the sunny areas of Yorkshire whilst freezing describes the rest.

When somebody asks me if it is cold where I am, I say no.......cold is 5% warmer than this and the description is that it is freezing her and not cold. For this young lady to the right, she discovered the hard way just what can happen on a cold and frosty morning. I would say at this point that my friends in the USA will be laughing at me right now as they truly are suffering from the cold weather and my days in Reno & Lake Tahoe were some of the most stunning of my life for snow and my time at Frenchmans lake were some of the most exciting. I recall seeing snow drifts over 12 feet deep and they were pretty special and the cold was amazing but I'm judging this in a UK context and as such it is quite unusual from the last few years point of view as we have not seen truly cold weather for a few years and it may bring problems but it also brings along benefits too that we enjoy for many reasons.

Yesterday was about as weird a day as it get's for about as many reasons that I care to forget but with some real high's and very few lows and one of those peaks is to be found below:

Despite what appears to be quite a boring scene from a country view, if you look toward the bottom and enlarge the picture, you will see the birth of a Rainbow to which took about 4-5 minuets to open up into a perfect arch but as I was driving along and heading for West Yorkshire and the town of Huddersfield, I saw this out of the corner of my eye and not having my camera was a problem but today the cameras we all have on our phone are very good at capturing snaps or moments in time such as this very well indeed. Below are some follow on moments of the Rainbow as it created such a spectacle in the skies above Yorkshire and a splendid moment in which to put into my special moments in time that I will never forget for a long time to come.

The bonus with this picture was the bright blue skies that came as part of the package and changed very quickly to grey and eventually the dark of night and I was very lucky to capture this moment with such clarity on a phone.
The Rainbow eventually covered a large area across the blue sky and as you will see below, it kept fading in and out a little due to the light conditions and changing of wind direction and wet conditions that were to follow but all in all I was quite impressed with one of those miracles of nature that we take for granted so often as just a part of life.

The image below whilst a little affected by the light, shows in the distance the famous Emley Moor TV tower that is quite the spectacular landmark and can be seen for miles around on a clear day.

It's been a bit of a fast start to the week for some reason and whilst it is only Monday, I do appear to have managed to get a lot done in a short space of time for some strange reason. It's not a moan or complaint, more a pat on the back for getting on with it to which on a Monday was quite encouraging. My week ahead is generally guided and influenced by others as I need to speak to someone from overseas but am struggling to locate of connect with them. I always find with people overseas that because of the time difference and culture and prior commitments, it just becomes very frustrating and hard work and I often find myself looking in the mirror and telling myself to be more patient...........but I confess it has little affect on the final outcome. I have had some good thinking time over the weekend and my thoughts were focused upon a very special person in my life of whom is a Doctor and based outside of my country. They are suffering with a natural disaster and my thoughts are with them through these special moments as they are about to start working at an "All New Practice" from Monday and as a result of this natural disaster, it has made travel and daily routine very difficult in so many ways. Sometimes we just don't stop and think what it must be like to live under the present danger of the earths many faults and imperfections and coming from the UK where these things are almost unheard of, makes it even more shocking when our friends far away are so badly affected by these daily problems of which we have little if any understanding.

 Has anyone noticed how quickly this year is moving forward, it seems like only yesterday that we were all shouting "Happy New Year" and yet we are knocking at the door of February already. In many ways, it's a stark reminder of just how short a time we spend on Earth and how much we should value that moment in time that is so precious and yet we all so often treat is so wastefully by not enjoying the moment. Time is the one thing that we cannot replace no matter what. I always justify this by saying to people that the time we spend with our families and especially our children is far more valuable than the money we spend on them, I know as I grew up in a world where I was crying out for attention to which I never got except from my chosen friends and that feeling of emptiness is something that can never be replaced in later life. It has a lengthy and lasting affect in so many ways and depending on how your life and time was spent, defies if your life is filled with positive or negative memories in which to reflect and look back upon. I am often reminded of this with my own children and no matter what time they want with me, I give it as the pain of rejection is something I know all too well and I never want them to feel that no matter what. If there is any advice I can offer parents that I truly believe, it is that no "Play station, Nintendo or any other Video Game" will ever replace the memory of being in the park with your child and a ball. I guarantee it....!! Try it, your children only want your money when they can't get your time.

The Silence Is Finally Broken

I was out walking today when I suddenly noticed and change in the air and a break in the silence that suggested that Spring was just around the corner. I am a great believer that we can all learn a lot by watching and observing nature and despite the fact that it is all around us for most of the time, for most people, they are blind to the obvious signs of change and for me, the first one I noticed was the sound of the birds all making it clear they were around and ready for action. Bird's by default do not make noise unnecessary as it can make them vulnerable to being lunch for a bigger bird, so the only reason they take such a risk is to attract the right kind of attention and not the wrong and the reward is to find a mate. It also is a signal that spring is near and nest building time is close. If you step outside in the next few days and are in the northern hemisphere, enjoy the broken silence of the bird songs while you can as they soon go silent again.

I would like to give a little mention to the new President of the USA Mr D Trump whom set forth his task to the American nation and of which I do not chose to debate but prefer to accept democracy and allow opportunity and fate to take it's role but I do want to remind Mr Trump that it is better to build a bridge than it is to build a wall and and to the right is the reward on offer in the Southern borders to which you may be cutting your nose to spite your face. I do wish Mr Trump every success and only time will tell if it is good or bad for america but he won fair and square under the USA system and I do feel that people should refrain from the protest and verbal abuse and allow a new opportunity to take place and not predict the outcome. For those who are so violently protesting, I feel that you demonstrate in every aspect why democracy is the only way as in reality, your way of rejection, dictatorship and self appointment is truly an unfair option to the majority who voted for the change. I for one would say you only prove that you do not accept democracy and simply reject the will of the people and "Shame on you".

In order to balance up the scales a little, I would like to also comment on the speech to which our Prime Minister made this week which was at least an attempt to be inspirational and only your own point of view or opinion will interpret that as an individual. My own view was that it was very late coming and almost said in anger as an acceptance of rejection from the EU to make and real progress. On a personal note, I also felt it was too obvious that it was going to happen as our last PM also tried to bang the heads of the un-elected EU officials who also reject democracy and without any success. Then what say our new attempt when the last one failed in such style. Move on and step forward, not backward and at least lets start planning for a new venture in an open not closed market place.

December 2016 & Winter Is Here

5th December 2016

What can I say that will not be said by everyone writing a diary in my part of the world, fog, fog, fog and more fog. It was so thick when I arrived back on planet earth and the sun barely broke through although toward the later part of the afternoon, it did show it's face briefly. However, I did say briefly as it showed it's face at 3.00pm but by 3.30pm it had gone for good and the temperature dropped so quickly that the inevitable happened and the fog simply came back with a vengeance and was very thick on the M1 motorway as I headed south for about 20 miles.

The weekend was something that was affected by the sad news about Andrew Sachs and the sad news of his end to his life. It was sad because we all grew up watching this wonderful performance as Manuel the Spanish waiter in Faulty Towers and brought so much happiness to so many fans.

I have to venture out tomorrow and I'm hopeful that the fog has lifted before I set off as it is very dangerous on the roads with so many ignoring the speed signs and driving like they have nine lives. I will up-date you all about my day out when I return tomorrow and share where I have been and what I got up to.

Floods Of Sheffield In November 2016

21st November 2016

The Buzz word for today is "Wow". We were told that flooding only takes place every 400 years in Sheffield but once again, there is a slight mis-calculation of about 390 years as the place is suffering high river water levels and road flooding in many places in the City with major problems with both traffic and even to the point that the Supertram has been affected.

Below are a few short videos from the last time we suffered this fate in Sheffield and fortunately accidents and injuries were down to a minimum but sadly one very young boy playing by a river in millhouses park was washed away and drown.

The building to the left & right in this picture was made famous by Mr Tony Blair who suggested that Forgemasters (the buildings in reference) were being conned by Iraq who were in fact making the worlds biggest guns and placed an order with Forgemasters for Gas pipes to which Mr Blair said was huge gun barrels and thus resulted in the Iraq war. The result being many lost lives and injuries, instability in the Middle East and Islamic fractions world wide turning toward terror.

As you will see by the depth of the water levels on Brightside lane Sheffield, the water reached over the top of car roofs and many were simply washed away. From my own memories, I always remember the air sea rescue helicopter lifting people out of a flooding building in Sheffield, not an everyday event for my City.

I want to dedicate this post to a very dear friend of mine from a place far away right now but to whom will be on our shores very soon.

This person to whom I have decided to protect there identity until they allow permission to use there name and details has climbed the biggest mountain ever over the last few years but in particular 2016 which has seen my friend battle every obstacle ever and overcome tragedy and adversity on a grand scale, only to keep picking themselves up on each and every occasion and carry on through to the finish line.

My friend had a dream of becoming a Doctor from a very early age and whilst it has yet to be confirmed, that day came today and the reward for such dedication is something I'm truly proud to share with everyone I know. My friend spent some 6 months in reviser school after studying for 4 years and over the last 6 months has had exam after exam and despite holding a job and long distance travel to and from to work & school, somehow found the strength to keep going and see it through. Amongst many prestigious positions of responsibility held along the way, the one memorable one to myself which I was so proud of was the President of the student Union.

When I reflect back over the last year especially, I remember so many down moments and so few up ones but it's not the struggle that I remember today but the moment of joy which came today and the reward for all that dedication will be success on a grad scale.

I want to show my gratitude to my friend for all the pain and suffering and dedicate a song for them to hopefully enjoy and see the meaning and intent of such a powerful tune:

  

My second dedication is in memory for my friends family whom I know was there in a spiritual way to watch over the whole process and send a message of hope from where they are today.

The USA Presidential Elections 2016

Wow, who would have bet on the result of Donald Trump entering the Whitehouse except to apply for planning permission to turn it into another Trump Tower. Well in truth, many of us saw it coming and it was clear to see. It is the same ethos of the BREXIT syndrome, the simple truth is people voted for change, even non specified change such as Brexit. We don't need it spelling out, it plain and simple that across the world, the people and masses are tired of what's happening in their lives and want change. We want peace, we want corruption to end, we want fairness and we want to enjoy our lives together. I can't speak for Trump but what I can say is it is a clear signal to the world that people in the USA want change. I can't speak for my Government but once again, the majority voted for change. Stop calling us stupid, we are not stupid, but stupid people are calling us stupid.  

I would like to wish Mr D Trump every success with his appointment and lets all pray that this a another opportunity to cold water on any talks of war and that the whole world can learn to get along together and share our space on the planet in peace.

Today is a bit of a weird one in as much as that the whole world is excited about the phenomena which is taking place right now in our skies, "The Super Moon". We have not been so lucky here in the UK as it's a little cloudy outside, although for about 10-15 minuets, there was a break in the cloud enabling me to see what is something quite weird. If we are to believe the experts, it will be over 50 years to the next one and I suspect I will miss it.

My weekend passed without drama and whilst I was invited out to my Daughters for Sunday lunch, I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful detail and quality of the meal, to which I truly enjoyed. My daughter and her partner made a 1st class lamb hot pot to which was truly a delight.

I'm routing for someone very special this week who is feeling so alone while studying for the final event and exam on Friday to which I am fully confident they will pass which is their PHD exam and will grant them the privilege and status of Doctor from Friday and has made me so proud and honoured to be a part of. I have never witnessed someone go through so much hard and testing times and come through to be stronger and display such qualities that would put so many to shame.

There are many good things planned for the week ahead and in order not to bore or create a lack of interest, I have decided to keep this posting short so as to provide some better updates as the week goes by.

15th November 2016

Today (Tuesday) was a bit of a long haul as there was little to do and as such the day simply drags by. However, to flash through my day would at least be fair to share it with you.

It started out rather a mild day with broken cloud and occasional bright spells of sun light and as it was at least dry, a walk was the order of the day. I am as I have mentioned on many occasions rather a lucky person in that my local park is a very urban affair, surrounded by trees and wide open spaces with a small lake with fishing platforms on for anglers and cutting right through the park from one end to the other is a stream to which my daughter used to catch stickleback in some 18 years ago.

Oh how the years fly bye as she is now planning for her wedding day in the distant future. Im so proud that she has her own home and truley lovely partner and it's quite a rare thing today to see people so happy and despite the struggle of life, the one thing that is very noticable is that they are truly happy with each others company which to me, is really important.

My good friend will be wakening up in a few short hours and they have two more days of study before the big day that they worked so hard for and will result in a highly qualified position of responsibility to which they truly deserve.

I have been reading many news items today in regards to BREXIT to which some are frankly disgusting and should be treated with contempt. This country have a vote, it was a very simple vote of Yes - No. Yes to stay in Europe or No to Europe and leave. Im sick and tired of high profile politicians bleating on and suggesting we are stupid and conned. I am not stupid and was not conned. I know what "In or Out" means and I voted out as did the majority of this country, so why do those who do not respect democracy recognise what we the people voted for and realise it is they and not us who are stuipd and don't get it. We don't give a toss what the deal is or was, we want out.
